There has been a lot of push this week from all over about water this and water that!! “How much should I drink?,” “Am I getting enough” How do I make myself drink more”

All of these questions are great but in my mind its the last one that really matters! If your asking how much you should drink, you probably are not drinking enough! If you are asking “Am I getting enough?” You probably are not getting enough!!!! So that leaves us with the last one …Getting you to drink more water!!!

Let’s start easy

1. Find a flavoring that does not add calories to your diet..lemons, oranges, cucumbers, some prepackaged items like MIO

2. Get a super big cup..ya know like the slurpy 44oz cups! The more water you have in front of you the more you’ll drink!

3. Put a straw in your cup. Straws are very inviting and you’ll sip away on it and not even realize how much you are slurping until its gone.

4. Find a water temperature that works for you. Many people will argue the value of cold water vs warm but the key is finding which you like to drink and what’s accessible to you when you need it.

5. Set a timer. If you need a reminder use a clock or an alarm, setting it for every 2 hours. At this time drink 8oz. If you are going by the clock 8am-10am-12n-2pm-4pm-6pm-8pm-10pm. This gets you in a habit and before long you won’t need the reminder.

Water is so important to everyone whether you are on a weight loss/fitness journey or not! There are many creative ways to incorporate even more H20 into your daily life!
